Bodybuilding For Old People
Let us not mince words, and also, let us not confuse old age with muscle atrophy.
As you already guessed, the whiny, entitled, spoiled brats, invented a worthless gym culture that pretends to work out.
The little rascals lift heavy to satisfy their ego, and justify their laying down in the middle of a workout.
Look grandma, I have tired my arms, I must lay, that's how hard I work out.
They pulled the idea of muscle failure, out of their loaded diapers.
Turns out, the little punks, are just cutting off, their circulation
And you should cut them off, from their inheritance.
Let them play, OK.
Tut you can't believe, that; is a workout.
Cutting of your circulation, and laying around like the little sprouts.
Will cause your muscles to atrophy, and you'll become a picture of their worthless workout.
I'll give you some measuring sticks, so that you can figure it out on your own.
Imagine a little upstart training that way for football, lifting heavy, laying down, lifting heavy and vegetating.
And compare that to the old cranks, walking in circles at the mall.
Who not only don't lose muscle, but learn to walk longer and annoyingly fast.
Or an old bird, carrying groceries home.
That would rip your arms, clean off after a few minutes.
Or even a horse for that matter, what would happen to a horse.
If you weighted it down for 30 seconds, and made it for to sleep for couple of minutes.
This constant stopping, and all the resting, does nothing for it, it hurts it.
Do you really believe, this, whippersnapper lift-heavy-and-pick-your-nose cycle works?
Because it hurts? You ever seen Rangers, Marines laying down, every 30 seconds?
Lifting heavy, is a myth.
It only works to give them and excuse to lay down, because they can't lift no more.
Meanwhile, if the old coots a the mall, started adding wrist and leg weights.
One comfy pound at a time, exactly like a fat whale.
Their endurance, and persistent, to walk in circles every morning.
Would turn into body building, some of them maybe wearing wrist and leg weights.
The walkers, outdoor or indoor, groceries or wrist weight.
Are getting a better workout, than the kids at the gym.
And if you copy what they are doing, they will make you ill.
I know I didn't convince you completely, because there is no making sense of sitting at the gym.
Sitting or laying down, is just that.
And lifting heavy cuts of the circulation, and prevents you from ever lifting heavier.
The occasional gym goer with some muscle, who has been going it for a decade.
Will grow and retain muscle, but by doing it wrong - first year muscle.
When you get older, you don't time for this pretending.
You need a real workout that will swiftly, restore your lost muscle.
And that means you never stop at the gym, and if you must you check for how long.
And like a jogger, you aim to close that gap, by extending your endurance like the grumps at the mall.
Your aim is 30 to 45 minutes, non stop, eventually standing, if you can't do it yet.
Dumbbell exercise, that includes twisting and turnin.
Exactly like an old lady, a horse, or a crayon loving Marine.
And once you move for 45 minutes with dumbbells, you increase your dumbbell weight by 1lb using wrist weight.
And start getting used to the new weight, this increase in weight is what builds muscle.
The movement must come first, and then you add weight a little bit at a time.
Never so light that you can lift more, and never so heavy that you re forced to stop.
You see you gradually pushing your body, to grow muscle, our bodies adapt no matter how old we are.
Now take another look at the kids, with their laying down and cutting off of circulation.
They are role playing fitness, pretending they know how to do it, and that they work hard.
If you do what they are doing, you will continue losing muscle.
You are not in the same shape, as people who still have their middle age.
They move more, so even doing it wrong, give them some muscle.
You move less, doing it wrong, will only slow down your muscle loss.
There is no time for doing it wrong, you have to start in the beginning with non-stop motion.
And once you reach your 30 or 45 minutes, of non stop motion, add the dumbbells.
Never so heavy, that they will disrupt your non-stop motion.
And never so light, that you could carry more.
If you can do more, you must do more.
It will be at the maximum, of what you can carry non stop.
That your body will get the signal to adapt, and start putting on muscle.
Let me make this clear, the youngsters have destroyed fitness and bodybuilding.
And while they can wing it, with doing it wrong.
Because of your existing muscle loss, doing it wrong will hurt you.
The gym culture as you see it today, is hurting the elderly.
